Juvenile Records Could Soon Be Public Records

The criminal records of some juveniles could become public record under legislation passed by a Senate committee. Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Norman said parents and school officials are often at a disadvantage, not knowing the history of juvenile delinquents in their neighborhoods and schools.

Student almost doesn’t get job after identity mix-up

18 year old Winston-Salem State University student Brittany Tenae McNeil was a recent near victim of identity mix-up. Brittany started working at a Target store about a month ago, but was called off after ChoicePoint reported she had a misdemeanor larceny charge and a trespassing charge.

files What do you think a background check consists of? From speaking with people I think they get the sense that it is like CSI. We have computers and type in the persons name, and pages of information come up including photographs and that persons complete history down to their kindergarten finger paintings. Feds To Invest $2.7 Billion on The Fingerprinting of International Visitors That Are Exiting Country
