What do you think a background check consists of? From speaking with people I think they get the sense that it is like CSI. We have computers and type in the persons name, and pages of information come up including photographs and that persons complete history down to their kindergarten finger paintings. I’m sorry to say it just doesn’t work that way. Some days I wish it did because it would make our jobs much easier, but it doesn’t. Read more…

It seems everybody lately has had some type of credit problem. Whether it is because of a predatory lender, a law suit or you have just been unable to pay your bills you may find yourself subject to judgment by a future employer.
Credit reports have long been a part of background checks, especially when a potential employee may be handling money. So, what do employers look for on your credit report? The Bush administration would require commercial airlines and cruise-line operators to collect information such as fingerprints from international travelers and send the information to the Homeland Security Department soon after the travelers leave the country, according to a proposed rule. In a breaking news story yesterday we revealed the seedy underbelly of the button collecting industry. Reno, Nevada saw fit to make sure that the vendors at the Western buttons show were fingerprinted and all of them had background checks before they would be allowed to hold this seamy sickening event. We here at Crimcheck.com have now obtained exclusive photos of the persons involved with this disturbing so-called trade show. I must warn you in advance, some of these photos will be hard to look at so be prepared and you may want to put your children to bed and close the shades.

Reno, Nevada will not put up with these so called button dealers tearing apart their quaint little town. These dregs of society have been known to collect antique, glass, porcelain and even homemade buttons. The town of Reno was going to make sure that every last vendor at the antique button trade show had proper background checks and that they were also fingerprinted. Read more…

This started out as a humorous thought when I heard of the bridge being stolen in Bosnia. That’s right, a bridge! It seems that on a seldom used roadway, a crew showed up and just started dismantling a bridge. They looked legitimate, so no one paid any attention. The crooks ended up selling it to a salvage yard!
